Dr Tony Gu (m)
Partner / GP Trainer

Joined 2009

Dr Gu is a partner and GP trainer.

He is a clinical director for the local Primary Care Network.

He has a special interest in medical education and provides joint injections at our surgery.

He is also a medical member of the MPTS.

He also speaks Mandarin.

Dr Vivian Wilkinson (f)
Partner / GP Trainer

Joined 2006

Dr Wilkinson is a partner and GP trainer at the surgery.

She is a RCGP accredited GPWER in Dermatology as well as having a specialist interest in sexual health and gynaecology- she is a committee member and trainer of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive health.

She runs a dedicated contraceptive clinics, minor skin surgery clinic and baby clinic weekly.

She has MRCS qualification, and she also speaks Cantonese.

Dr Yasar Ahmad (m)
Salaried GP / GP Trainer

Joined 2009

Dr Ahmad is a salaried GP and GP trainer at the surgery.

He also speaks fluent Urdu, Punjabi and hendko.

Dr Gary McCormack (m)
Sessional GP / GP Trainer

Joined 2007

Dr McCormack is a sessional GP and GP trainer at the surgery.

He also has MRCP qualification and experience in geriatrics.

He also works as a clinical debriefer for the University of Manchester as well as a medical member of the MPTS.

Salaried GP

Joined 2013

Dr Nasir is a salaried GP.

She also works as a medical examiner for the University of Manchester.

She speaks fluent Punjabi.

Sessional GP

Joined 2016

Dr Storey is a sessional GP.

As well as working as a GP, he works at urgent care at the MRI and is a facilitator with the GP training program.

He has a special interest in digital interventions and is currently undertaking a fellowship in General practice

Practice Nurse

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses; they can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and baby immunisations.

The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.


Phlebotomist / Healthcare Assistant

Our Healthcare Assistant carries out blood tests, diabetes foot checks and ECGs.

Our phlebotomist carries out blood tests on Monday & Thursday.

The Institute of Leadership & Management Level 5 in Operations and Departmental Manager.

Level 7 in Educational Leadership and Administration, General

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology.

The practice manager support the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.


Reception Staff

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries; they can provide basic information on services and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query.

Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses; they also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries.
